· Poste restante uses standardised objects linked to a territory — here postcards — and reinjects subjectivity into them. The postcards serve as a blank page onto which the sender can project their sensibility. The cards are usually opaque with a clear distinction between a visual front and an empty back for writing, but in this project they are transfered on glass which transparency allows both sides to overlay. A blended image is created, made of objective reality and subjective impression. These two concepts — objectivity and subjectivity — are formally gathered to convey the inherently subjective aspect of perception. Going from card to card, a cartography of correspondence appears. It abolishes geographic barriers and links remote places, past stories and scattered individuals.
